NetCube, developing 5G security technology
for disaster network communications
NetCube, in collaboration with the Korea Railroad Research Institute and Cyber Tel Bridge, has developed and demonstrated for the first time in the industry 5G mission-critical communication technology that can be used in industrial areas requiring high stability, such as disaster sites or defense sectors.
This development and demonstration took place within the 5G Convergence Service Test Bed of the National Information Society Agency of Korea and NetCube's own test facilities. It is characterized by the application of a network slicing platform that enables physically identical 5G base stations and core equipment to be used as virtual dedicated networks. For this purpose, NetCube's application-based network slicing platform was installed in CyberTelBridge's MCPTT terminal that supports 5G specialized networks, and a small 5G core for Eum5G support was also completed with NetCube's own technology.
This development and demonstration was conducted under the leadership of the Korea Railroad Research Institute, with the goal of expanding into various application fields such as railways, administration, and defense in the future.
